Hi guys. I’m Dana Ward in Beverly Hills with the story.

So the two contenders in this one are Kelly Clarkson and Beyonce. It’s being said that Clarkson copied Beyonce’s ‘Halo’ in her newly released ‘Already Gone’ track. Right after it hit the airwaves, listeners started blogging about the eery similarities between the two songs, blaming Clarkson for the tune copy. However, Kelly reportedly asked her record label NOT to release ‘Already Gone’ as her next single, but it didn’t listen and now she’s saying none of it is her fault. In fact, she’s apparently pointed the finger at the song’s co-writer, Ryan Tedder from One Republic, because he also worked with Beyonce on ‘Halo’!

So, let’s get down to the nitty gritty and hear the two songs, shall we?

This is a clip from Kelly’s ‘Already Gone’ song…

and here’s a clip from Beyonce’s track ‘Halo’…

So what do you think? Do you think there’s a copycat in the house? If so, who’s doing the dirty work?? And if not, what’s the story behind this ripoff claim? Post your opinion here or on our Twitter page.

I’m Dana Ward with Clevver TV. Thanks for tuning in and we’ll see you soon!

    when Kelly Clarkson …
when Kelly Clarkson heard the completed song she asked that it not be included on the album. She knew it was too much like Beyonce and also knew things like this very you tube submission would happen. The record company overruled her and the rest is history. Sorry Kelly

    No one is copying …
No one is copying nobody! It is Ryan’s fault. Kelly’s “Already Gone” is more Alternatvie Rock/Pop & Beyonce’s “Halo” is more Hip-Hop/Pop. So Ryan should learn to make different beats. But I do LOVE Kelly!!!!!!! =D

These pop-star singers don’t actually write their own music. They are just the pretty faces/voices that present the music. It’s their songwriter’s fault.
