I meant to say she was so good, and Jeff Beck’s guitar work was so tasteful, I wanted to hear all the words. Maybe for the cause and venue, the deleted part wasn’t necessary. I just hated for the performance to end.

People interpret songs in their own way- remember that. I personally loved Kelly’s version. It brought soul and blues into it while stay conveying the raw emotion Ms. Patty Griffin geniously did.

I wish they would have let her sing the rest of the song, the last words tie it all together. and Don’t forget this was written as a tribute to Martin Luther King based on his last speech in Memphis before he was assinated. great song, killer performance.
